Toolkit Values

The values we are centering as we build and maintain this toolkit.

We hope the KQTx Facilitator Toolkit makes facilitation feel more manageable, more accessible, and more fun for you.

The KQTx Facilitator Toolkit takes an equity-centered approach, guided by the following values: 

  • Practicing radical welcome for all who identify as queer, trans, and of Korean descent. Inviting those historically excluded from identifying as, belonging to, and in community with KQTs. 
  • Creating safety and belonging for marginalized communities 
  • Practicing disability justice and widening access in honor and respect of all bodies and abilities
  • Building skills for community building and peer-led care, honoring group wisdom and direct experience vs. deferring to ‘experts’ and other hierarchical forms of knowledge sharing
  • Understanding proximity to power and privilege and creating conditions for more equitable participation and collaboration
